Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Soft Sync Solutions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit beforeyousendthetext.com (the “Site”) or purchase the Before You Send the Text private PDF decision kit (the “Kit”).

We have written this policy in plain language because our buyers are often older adults who deserve a clear answer to one question: what data do you have on me, and what do you do with it? The short answer is: as little as we can get away with, used only to deliver what you bought and to measure whether our advertising works.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Your multiple-choice assessment answers— the 15 questions in the free assessment are answered by selecting from short option lists. We do not ask for, store, or process any free-text descriptions of your family member.
• Email address— collected by Stripe at checkout so we can deliver your purchase. We do not enroll your email in any marketing list.
• Billing name and address— collected by Stripe for payment processing and tax compliance. We do not see or store your full payment-card number; that stays with Stripe.
• Anything you email us — if you write to info@beforeyousendthetext.com, we receive whatever you send.

Where assessment answers are stored

While you take the assessment, your answers are held in your own browser’s local storage. If you complete checkout, your answers are attached to your Stripe checkout-session record so we can generate your Personalized Bridge Report. We do not keep a separate database of assessment answers outside of Stripe’s records of your transaction.

Information collected automatically

• Standard server logs— IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamps. Used for security and diagnostics.
• TikTok Pixel cookies and identifiers— described below.

2. How we use information

• To deliver the Kit to your email after purchase
• To send order-related communications (delivery confirmation, replacement copies on request)
• To process payment, prevent fraud, and comply with tax law
• To measure the effectiveness of advertising so we can stop running ads that do not work
• To improve the Site and the Kit
• To respond to legal requests when required

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or follow-up promotions to buyers. The only email we send after purchase is the bundle delivery itself and any replacement you specifically request.

3. TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API

We advertise on TikTok and use TikTok’s measurement tools to understand which ads result in purchases. This involves two technologies:

TikTok Pixel (browser-side)

When you visit the Site, a small piece of code from TikTok runs in your browser and may set cookies. It records that you viewed the Site and which page. If you complete a purchase, it records that the purchase happened. The data sent to TikTok includes your IP address, browser user-agent, page URL, and a TikTok-assigned cookie ID.

TikTok Events API (server-side)

After a successful purchase, our server sends a corresponding “CompletePayment” event directly to TikTok’s Events API. The data we send includes the purchase amount, the currency, an event identifier, the page URL, and a SHA-256 hash of the buyer’s email address. We hash the email so that TikTok cannot read it in plain text but can match it to its own users.

This server-side event is sent because browser tracking is unreliable on modern browsers. Sending the event from our server gives us a more accurate measurement and reduces wasted ad spend.

TikTok’s use of this data is governed by TikTok’s Privacy Policy. If you do not want TikTok to receive any data about your visit, you can install a tracker-blocking browser extension or use a browser that blocks third-party cookies.

4. Microsoft Clarity (session replay)

We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session replays and heatmaps so we can see where visitors get stuck or confused on the Site. This helps us improve clarity and reduce friction in the buying decision.

Clarity records pages you view, your scrolling, your mouse movements, and your clicks. Clarity automatically masks text inside form fieldsso it does not record what you type. We do not enter payment information on this Site — payment is handled entirely on Stripe’s domain — so Clarity never sees card or banking details.

Clarity’s use of this data is governed by Microsoft’s Privacy Statement. If you prefer not to be recorded, install a tracker-blocking browser extension or use a browser that blocks third-party scripts.

5. Other third parties we use

• Stripe— payment processing, billing-information collection, fraud prevention. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Postmark— transactional email delivery (the bundle email and any reply we send you). Subject to Postmark’s privacy policy.
• Hostinger— hosts the Site. Subject to Hostinger’s privacy policy.

These vendors process information on our behalf under their own privacy policies and security practices. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

6. Cookies

We use cookies set by the TikTok Pixel and Microsoft Clarity described above, and any technical cookies set by our hosting infrastructure. We do not run any other advertising or analytics scripts.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, install a tracker-blocking extension, or use private/incognito mode. The Site will still work normally with cookies disabled.

7. Data retention

Order records (email, billing details, transaction ID) are retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. TikTok Pixel and Events-API data are retained by TikTok according to its own retention policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, email info@beforeyousendthetext.com from the address used to make your purchase. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge for reasonable requests.

9. Children

The Site and the Kit are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard hosting, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and reputable third-party processors. No system can be made completely secure, but we apply commercially reasonable measures.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always available at this URL with the “Last updated” date at the top.
